Following a complete internal refurbishment, the mountain’s original and most loved gathering place is reopening for the 2026 Winter Alpine Season.

As Dinner Plain’s very first commercial establishment, the hotel has been at the heart of the village for decades. Whether you’re cycling, horse riding, hiking, fishing, skiing, snowboarding, building snowmen, or simply exploring this stunning alpine wonderland, there’s no better place to gather, relax, and share stories from the day.
Dinner Plain is the perfect base for all your winter adventures, and when you’re ready to tackle the slopes, Mt Hotham — Australia’s Powder Capital — is just minutes away. Join us for our Soft Opening over the King’s Birthday Weekend in June, before we officially launch the season from 5pm on Friday 26 June 2026.
